SUNY-China 150, Gesture of Friendship and Support from the People of New York » Donate Online

In May the Wenchuan earthquake struck the area around Chengdu in Sichuan Province, China, causing enormous loss of life, injuries and infrastructure damage, and severely affecting the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. The State University of New York and Governor David Paterson, has made the extraordinary gesture of welcoming 150 university students from Sichuan Province, to study at 22 campuses of the University at no charge for the coming academic year.
